WEDNESDAY NIGHTS AT CENTRAL
"LIFE AFTER EASTER”
Greg Dowell will be teaching in the Commons classroom at 7pm. Coffee will be available at 6:30pm.
This week, Greg Dowell will be presenting “Life after Easter” - God isn’t finished after the resurrection. With Jesus’ Accension and the Spirit’s empowering at Pentecost still to come, the Father continues to reveal His life-changing plan through what some early church leaders called “The Pascal Mystery.” It is here that God prepares His people for the transitions of life and transformation of their faith.
*Gail Matthews from Bammel Road in Houston will be our speaker on April 15.
"PRACTICING THE WAY”
Wednesday Night Class: April 8, 15, & 22 at 7pm in the Chapel
John Mark Comer writes, “If we’re not being intentionally formed by Jesus himself, then it’s highly likely we are being unintentionally formed by someone or something else.” Using Comer’s book Practicing the Way, Hannah McNeill and Mic Biesboer will lead us through what it means to apprentice to Jesus. This is not a lecture-style class but will be more experiential—learning everyday practices that shape us more into the image of Christ. Our prayer is that the class is practical and formational. If you'd like the book to follow along, we'll have copies available on Wednesday. This is a book our elders and ministers have read, and we’ll be using it at Central going forward to focus on the “Live” portion of our vision.
