SUMMER INTERNSHIPS
This week we say goodbye to two of our summer interns.
Jordan Womble has been interning with the Student Ministry. Mesa has this to say about Jordan: “We want to thank Jordan for the incredible work he's done with our students this summer. His energy, creativity, and genuine care have made a lasting impact. We’re grateful for his dedication and the heart he brought to every moment.”
Please be sure to give Jordan a big ’Thank You’ for all he has done!
Gracie Robertson has been interning with one of our local mission partners, the PARC, this summer. Valerie Gooch, Executive Director of the PARC shares this about Gracie: “Gracie has been such a delight and pleasure to the PARC. Her kindness has been a blessing to us and especially to our members. She has brought a light that we will miss.” Be sure to ask Gracie about her experiences at the PARC when you give her a big ‘Thank You’!
If you would be interested in an internship with one of our local mission partners, contact Greg or Elaine at the church office.
BACK TO SCHOOL!
It’s been a busy summer at Central! We’ve enjoyed playground picnics, intern lunches and weekly devos, 4Amarillo VBS, Sod Poodles game, PBR rodeo, and much more! This week the students and teachers begin a new school year. Let’s be in prayer for them now and throughout the school year.
PALO DURO CANYON CAMPOUT SEPTEMBER 5-6
Let’s go camping! RV and tent sites are available for $60 plus park entry fee. Cabins (outside the park) are also available for $100 plus park entry fee. Contact Kenneth Shepherd at 806.316.2149 for more information.
If you want to join in the activities but not camp, come to the Canyon and join us during the day!
NEW CURRICULUM BEGINS AUGUST 24
We are beginning a 6-week curriculum in our Sunday adult Bible classes starting on August 24. These lessons will walk through our new vision of Live. Jesus. Together. The curriculum was developed by Mic Biesboer, Greg Dowell, and Hannah McNeill.
If you don't attend class or haven't found a class community yet, this is a great time to jump in and try a class. Find a full list of our class offerings on www.amarillocentral.org. You'll find it listed on the "Adult Discipleship" page under "Ministries."
CURRICULUM TRAINING FOR TEACHERS
If you are a class leader or want more information on our new curriculum series, join us this Wednesday, August 13, from 7-8pm in the Commons. We will walk through the new curriculum series on Central's vision.
DAILY FOCUS LIVESTREAM
Join us on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8:30am as we livestream our Daily Focus. This is interactive (feel free to comment!) with a prayer component and a daily practice. Find the livestream on Facebook, YouTube, and Central's app.

Tim McMenamy is a certified spiritual director and is available for spiritual direction for those desiring to draw closer to God. These sessions involve monthly one-on-one meetings focused on helping you deepen your relationship with God and increase an awareness of God’s presence and working in one’s life.
